Does any of this resonate with you?

You begin to wonder if all these accomplishments mean anything if they come at the cost of feeling empty.

Constantly sacrificing parts of yourself just to keep up the image.

You feel the exhaustion deep in your bones. And the loneliness is creeping in like a shadow that clings to you, no matter how much light you try to shine.

You tell yourself to keep going, To just push a little harder, But there’s a truth you can no longer ignore: You can’t keep doing this anymore.

Not. Like. This.

The pressure is suffocating, pulling you under despite every effort to stay afloat.

You’ve been holding on with everything you have, but there’s nothing left to give.

You’ve achieved the dream on paper: a thriving career, a well-kept home, the respect of others. But each time you reach a new goal, it fades in an instant, leaving behind the same numbness.

There’s a hollowness, something missing that you can’t quite name, a quiet tugging at you:

Is this all there is? Is this really what life is supposed to feel like?”

It’s time to feel whole, not just accomplished. Start your journey to fulfillment today.

A part of you whispers…

“When will it be my turn—to feel supported, to be seen, to be truly held?”

Yet you keep it quiet, even as you feel yourself reaching a breaking point

The fear of letting go feels as overwhelming as the struggle to keep holding on.

The pressure to be strong, to never falter, has created a cage that’s closing in

And as much as you try to dismiss it, there’s a growing part of you that longs to lay it all down—to finally let go of the perfection, the constant ‘doing,’

To finally find out who you really are underneath it all

What would it feel like to stop pretending, to let yourself rest, to feel seen in all of your messy, beautiful humanity?

This ache, this call for relief, isn’t a weakness—it’s a plea from the exiled part of you that longs to feel heard, supported, and free.

Your Life Can Be Different. Just For One Moment, Close Your Eyes and Visualize…

A life where you don’t have to carry it all alone. A life where peace isn’t something you chase, but something you live. Where you can rest and feel valued—not for what you do, but for who you are. Picture waking up, feeling truly seen, not because you kept up with the impossible, but because you finally feel enough

  • I’m a licensed clinical therapist deeply committed to empowering women and neurodivergent couples to break free from perfectionism, anxiety, and self-doubt and to build lives that feel genuine and whole. With over 20 years of experience in the field, I bring a unique blend of knowledge and empathy to my practice, helping clients navigate a wide range of challenges, including body image concerns, neurodivergence, and eating disorders.

My specialties include working with perfectionistic women, anxious moms, neurodivergent individuals and couples, and those facing body dissatisfaction. As a Certified Autism Specialist and an ADHD Specialist-in-Training, I have advanced training in the intersections of neurodivergence with women’s experiences, reproductive mental health, hormones, and body image challenges. My crossover training also addresses neurodivergence in the context of eating disorders, offering a nuanced and inclusive approach to care. I am currently pursuing the Inclusive Eating Disorder Specialist Certification to deepen this expertise.

Drawing from a compassionate, values-aligned framework, I help my clients reconnect with themselves and create lives that are meaningful and fulfilling. My approach holistically addresses the mind, body, and heart, incorporating relational tools and practices designed to support lasting change.

Here’s how I support clients on their journey from overwhelm to empowerment:

    • Values-Aligned Therapy: Together, we’ll uncover what truly matters to you—your values, passions, and goals—and use them as a guide for growth and decision-making, empowering you to live more authentically.

    • Specialized Neurodivergence Support: I provide tailored approaches for neurodivergent individuals, incorporating expertise in Autism, ADHD, and their unique interplay with life challenges, body image, and emotional regulation.

    • Eating Disorders & Body Image: With decades of experience in treatment centers and expert-led trainings, I help clients navigate eating disorders and body image concerns with compassion and specialized strategies.

    • Holistic & Integrative Care: I weave intuitive and energy healing practices into therapy sessions, including techniques from my current Reiki training, to support emotional balance and deep healing on a mind-body-spirit level.

    • Somatics and Physiological Awareness: Using approaches like Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Brainspotting, we’ll release tension, build self-awareness, and foster a sense of safety in your body.

    • Trauma-Informed Practices: My work integrates trauma-sensitive tools like EMDR and Brainspotting, helping clients process emotional pain and reconnect with their innate resilience.

    • Self-Compassion Development: Together, we’ll transform self-critical patterns into a kinder, more accepting relationship with yourself, paving the way for growth and self-confidence.

    • Perinatal and Postpartum Care: For clients navigating motherhood, I offer specialized support, addressing the unique mental health challenges of perinatal and postpartum experiences.

Whether you’re facing perfectionism, anxiety, neurodivergence, or body image challenges, I’m here to help you find healing, empowerment, and a renewed sense of self. Together, we’ll create space for transformation and growth so that you can step into a life that feels authentic, grounded, and fulfilling.

I offer virtual therapy sessions to clients in Illinois and South Carolina, making it easy to connect wherever you are—in every sense of the word.

  • Your silent struggles will be seen, heard and understood.

  • The burdens you carry will begin to lift, breath by breath.

As those hidden parts of yourself come alive again, you’ll begin to feel the fog life, gaining more clarity, and becoming deeply connected to what you truly value.

  3. Your Consultation Call
On the day of your appointment, I’ll call you at the scheduled time. During this 15–20 minute phone call, you’ll have the chance to share what’s been on your mind and what you’re hoping to work on in therapy. I’ll explain how I can support you, and we’ll address any questions you may have.

  4. Next Steps
If it feels like a good fit, we’ll decide on session lengths that suit your needs—options range from 30 minutes to 3 hours. Then, we’ll schedule your first session and begin the journey toward your goals.

What if you didn’t have to constantly hold everything together—

putting on a perfect front, meeting everyone else’s needs, and ignoring your own—just to feel barely okay?

What if, instead, you could finally feel calm, present, and truly experience joy, without having to prove your worth to anyone?

Imagine a life where you woke up tomorrow, not with a sense of urgency or the familiar rush of tasks, but with a feeling of quiet freedom.

As you moved through your day, you notice something different. Instead of the usual rush of anxiety, there’s a calm you haven’t felt in years. There’s an ease you didn’t think was possible.

Imagine breathing in a life where you aren’t driven by expectations or haunted by the need to be perfect.

It’s like stepping into sunlight after a long, heavy rain, feeling warmth sink into your skin as the world around you brightens.

Conversations flow naturally—you speak openly, without second-guessing, and listen without the pressure to fix or please anyone.

Decisions that once felt overwhelming now come with clarity. You say “no” when you need to, and each “yes” is filled with purpose

The inner battle between what others expect and what you truly want is finally quiet.

Even your relationships feel different; the people around you see the real you, and for the first time, you feel genuinely accepted and celebrated by the people who matter most.

In this life, there’s no performance,

No endless inner monologue,

Urging you to do more, be more, or hold it all in

Instead, you feel profoundly at ease with yourself, like meeting a long-lost friend you’d been searching for all along.

There’s a deep, steady confidence that you can show up exactly as you are—messy, vibrant, real—and that’s not just okay, it’s enough

Others have been where you are today

Due to ethics and confidentiality, I am not allowed to solicit or share client testimonies. What I can share are some very generalized things I have heard my clients say about working with me over the years…

“ “

Working with you has helped me see things differently. I’m learning to let go of the constant pressure to have everything perfect and instead focus on what I value.

You’ve created a space where I feel understood and supported, and I’m starting to find more balance and self-compassion in my life.

Your guidance has made such a difference in how I approach challenges. I’m learning to recognize my strengths while being kinder to myself when things don’t go as planned.

There are moments now when I stop and think, ‘What would Dawn say?’ It’s become a way to remind myself to pause and choose compassion over criticism.

Ready to lean into your fears with courage and self-compassion, knowing that growth often begins where comfort ends.

Maybe the idea of stepping into the unknown scares the shit out of you. Or, maybe you have been to therapy before and it wasn’t what you expected or needed it to be. Starting therapy might leave you thinking…

“What if I end up letting go of things and end up losing control of my life?” “What if everything I worked for falls apart?”

It’s completely understandable to feel this way, especially when you’ve been the one holding everything together for so long. The fear of the unknown is valid. I don’t have a crystal ball, but what I do have is space—space to hold the things nobody else supports for you.

Together, we’ll build a balance where you can start feeling supported without feeling like you’re giving up the things that matter most.

As we create this balance, you might notice an inner tug-of-warone part of you longing for relief, another part fearful of what change might mean.

It’s not uncommon to hear that small voice whispering doubts: “What if therapy doesn’t work? What if I’m just not good at this?

Is There a Part of You That Still Feels Hesitant? Let’s give space to those fears and see what they might reveal about your deeper needs. For now, you can explore some of the fears others have felt, knowing I have supported them with how to embrace these fears, rather than push away.

Do You Share This Inner Dialogue of Secret Fears and Longings?

  • “If I let go, even for a moment, I might lose control, and everyone will see that I’m not as capable as they think. They’ll see the cracks, the ones I fight to keep hidden.”

  • “I want someone to understand, to see what I go through, but if I let someone in, they might just let me down. Or worse, they’ll succeed, and I’ll feel like I don’t matter anymore.”

  • “I’m always the strong one, the one others rely on, but no one truly sees me. It’s like I’m standing on a stage, performing, while feeling completely alone. If I stopped pushing, if I really allowed myself to feel, would anyone be there to catch me?

  • “I dream of letting go, of finally resting, of feeling safe enough to be vulnerable. But I’m terrified. If I stopped, would I ever be able to start again? And if I let go… who am I without this constant striving?”

Is This the Right Step for You?

If these fears and longings resonate with you, you’re not alone—and therapy can be a powerful step toward understanding and growth. But therapy is most effective when it aligns with your needs and readiness. Let’s explore whether working together could be the right fit for you.

    • You’re ready to dig deeper into the patterns and beliefs holding you back and create lasting change.

    • You’re a highly sensitive, high-achieving woman who wants to stop feeling like there’s never enough of you to go around.

    • You’re open to exploring your emotions and trying new tools and strategies, even if it feels challenging at first.

    • You’re ready to explore the perfectionistic patterns that have been running your life.

    • You’re looking for a therapist who truly understands your balance of sensitivity and drive.

    • You value flexibility and appreciate therapy that fits your life, whether through shorter sessions or longer, intensive options.

    • You’re seeking a quick fix or only surface-level solutions without deeper exploration.

    • You’re not ready to invest the time or energy into your emotional growth and self-care.

    • You’re not ready to make your own healing and growth a priority.

    • You reside outside of Illinois or South Carolina, as these are the states where I’m licensed to practice.

    • You need to use insurance to cover therapy directly. I understand that insurance can be a necessary part of accessing care for many people. However, I choose to remain private pay so I can provide therapy that is tailored to your unique needs, without the constraints insurance companies often impose—like requiring a diagnosis to receive reimbursement.

  • An insurance superbill is a detailed receipt you can use to seek partial reimbursement for therapy costs if your insurance plan includes out-of-network benefits. It contains all the necessary information your insurance company requires to process a claim.

When working with an out-of-network provider, you pay for each session at the time of service. Afterward, you receive the superbill to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.

How to Use a Superbill for Therapy Reimbursement:

    1. Pay for Your Therapy Session:
Payment is due at the time of each session. Once payment is received, I will provide you with a superbill, at your request.

    2. Check Your Insurance Benefits:
Contact your insurance company to confirm whether your plan offers reimbursement for out-of-network therapy. Be sure to ask about:

      • Reimbursement rates for therapy sessions.

      • Deductibles or out-of-pocket maximums that apply.

      • Steps for submitting claims.

    3. Request Your Superbill:
After payment, I’ll provide you with a superbill that includes:

      • My practice details (name, address, license).

      • Dates and fees of your sessions.

      • Any required diagnostic codes.

    4. Submit the Superbill to Your Insurance Company:
Follow the claims process outlined by your insurance provider, which may involve:

      • Uploading the superbill through their online portal.

      • Mailing a paper copy to their claims department.

    5. Wait for Reimbursement:
After submitting your superbill, your insurance company will review your claim and, if approved, send reimbursement directly to you based on your plan’s coverage.

    6. Follow Up if Necessary:
If you encounter any issues, such as a denied claim or request for additional documentation, reach out to your insurance company for clarification or to reprocess the claim.

    Need Guidance?
I’m here to help you navigate the superbill process and ensure you have everything you need to submit your claim with confidence!

  • My Unique Approach Prioritizes Your Time, Convenience and Energy and Offers Flexible Session Times Designed For Your Needs:

Sessions are thoughtfully structured to meet your unique needs, offering flexibility in 30-minute increments (e.g., a 30-minute session is 25 minutes long) and ranging from 30 minutes to 3 hours.

For deeper exploration, sessions over 2 hours in length are considered Therapeutic Intensive Sessions.

Your journey begins with a 90-minute initial session, where we’ll take the time to understand your life as a whole and craft a personalized plan for therapy.

Together, we’ll explore the session length and frequency that will best support you, helping you move toward the goals and growth you’re seeking.

This is your space, designed with care, to meet you exactly where you are.

Will the ache for something more still linger in the corners of your heart, unanswered and unbearable?

Or, could this be the start of something entirely different—where the pieces finally come together and you finally start to breathe, feeling a quiet sense of peace?

Imagine a life where you’re free to rest, where you’re supported and valued—not just for what you do, but for who you are.
